Shelby Satko

Executive Director

For over 12 years, Shelby has worked in employment services, sharing her passion for pursuing employment opportunities as a pathway for individuals with disabilities to integrate into their communities. Throughout her career she has worked internationally and across cultures, always with the professional philosophy of empowering self-advocacy and promoting quality services. She is a leader in the disability community and strives to strategically engage public and private partnerships to advance job opportunities for all abilities. Shelby participates on statewide workgroups advocating for the thoughtful inclusion of people with disabilities.

Mari Heusman

Executive Lead

Mari Heusman comes to the Washington State Rehabilitation Council with 12 years of CRP experience, having filled positions ranging from Job Coach to Community Employment Manager and Administrative Coordinator. Her background in policy, billing, data analysis, staff training, and accreditation compliance lends itself well to the work of the Council. Mari majored in English and Psychology at Washington State University and is currently completing her final year in the Masters of Public Administration Program at the Evergreen State College.
